Pepsi 400

I just want to give Paul a great big thanks. Matthew, my dad, my brother and I were able to go to Southern California, Fontana, to see a NASCAR race. The only one of the four of us that had been there was Matthew so this quick road trip proved to be quite the experience. California Speedway took my breath away.
Daddy out front of the Speedway.

This place is crazy big!!!!

This was still wet

Walking in the pits.

And they are off

People with pit passes waiting for introductions.

From up above looking out at all the trailers full of stuff to buy.

One of Dale Jr.'s many cars......I'm sure

Watching, watching, watching.....

I cannot believe how many people go to these races. This is only about a third, maybe less.

The Mike's McCormick

Mr. Matthew.....(this ol guy needs a shave)

Little ol ME

Matthew and Bobby's Car

A walk on the track......it was really steep

And Tony Stewart Wins!!!!!!

I think this was the last time we saw Bobby's car. Engine problems, that was too bad.

The burnout...Holy cow did it smell bad after this.

The winners circle
I took this video to see if it would show the speed very well. It's not bad.....

My Birthday Picnic with the kids and Grandma and Grandpa Blomberg

Posted by Vikki at 2:26 PM 0 comments
I was blessed today with a wonderful picnic with Grandma and Grandpa Blomberg, Tricia, and the kids for my birthday. We had a hot dogs that Grandpa Blomberg made and brought to the park in a mason jar wrapped in a towel to keep them warm (something he learned when he was a kid).

Yummy, yummy, yummy!

The wind didn't make lighting candles easy, but we did it.

And then we cheered because 4 of us blowing out candles is so much fun.

I'm not quite sure, but..... I think Freddy likes cupcakes

The kids played hard, but eventually it was time for a rest in the shade.

Miss Mandie, you get prettier every day.

And then there is Samantha. Mama's most favorite girl.

How bout this little guy? Freddy is quite the little character.

 Get it Doo!!!

Looking at the trees is really cool....

Especially if you are with your best friend.

Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for a wonderful day, and Tricia....Thanks for the pictures. I still can't believe I forgot my camera, LOL.

Our trip to Lagoon

Grandma McCormick treated the three kids and I a quick trip to Lagoon. We had a ton of fun, and it was nice to get out of town for a few days.

We stopped in Twin Falls on our way there for lunch and let the kids get some wiggles out. It was fun to watch them wrestling in the grass.

When we got to our hotel that afternoon everyone was a bit tired so we hung out for a bit then decided to go swimming at the hotel pool.

Samantha loved her water wings.

When we got done swimming we hung out some more....

Samantha wanted to watch a movie on the DVD player and had to use the earphones.

The next day was Lagoon. It was a beautiful day and we had a great time. These are just a few of the pictures of our day. I think this first one may be one of my new favorite pictures.

So much fun.......Thanks Grandma.
