My Birthday Picnic with the kids and Grandma and Grandpa Blomberg

Posted by Vikki at 2:26 PM 0 comments
I was blessed today with a wonderful picnic with Grandma and Grandpa Blomberg, Tricia, and the kids for my birthday. We had a hot dogs that Grandpa Blomberg made and brought to the park in a mason jar wrapped in a towel to keep them warm (something he learned when he was a kid).

Yummy, yummy, yummy!

The wind didn't make lighting candles easy, but we did it.

And then we cheered because 4 of us blowing out candles is so much fun.

I'm not quite sure, but..... I think Freddy likes cupcakes

The kids played hard, but eventually it was time for a rest in the shade.

Miss Mandie, you get prettier every day.

And then there is Samantha. Mama's most favorite girl.

How bout this little guy? Freddy is quite the little character.

 Get it Doo!!!

Looking at the trees is really cool....

Especially if you are with your best friend.

Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for a wonderful day, and Tricia....Thanks for the pictures. I still can't believe I forgot my camera, LOL.

Our trip to Lagoon

Posted by Vikki at 10:00 AM 0 comments
Grandma McCormick treated the three kids and I a quick trip to Lagoon. We had a ton of fun, and it was nice to get out of town for a few days.

We stopped in Twin Falls on our way there for lunch and let the kids get some wiggles out. It was fun to watch them wrestling in the grass.

When we got to our hotel that afternoon everyone was a bit tired so we hung out for a bit then decided to go swimming at the hotel pool.

Samantha loved her water wings.

When we got done swimming we hung out some more....

Samantha wanted to watch a movie on the DVD player and had to use the earphones.

The next day was Lagoon. It was a beautiful day and we had a great time. These are just a few of the pictures of our day. I think this first one may be one of my new favorite pictures.

So much fun.......Thanks Grandma.

Baking a cake and Samantha's birthday

For 2 months before Samantha's birthday she talked about her party and how she would have a tall castle at her party. So, for the 5 days before her party I worked and worked.

Making all the little candy flowers was the first step.

Then I made all the cakes

Then I had to make all the towers (frosting and purple sugar)

Then I started frosting and stacking the cakes

Then I started putting it all together

 And, when it was done.........

One beautiful castle for Samantha's party. Here is what it looked like on the table.

 A close up. Pretty hungh?

Then it was party time. It was a nice party with immediate family and the Grandparents. A special day for sure.

We opened presents.

Then we had to blow out the candles (TWICE)

It's my party and I'll cry if I want to..... (not sure what happened)

Then we all watched while she played.

 Grandma and Grandpa Blomberg

She got a new tall castle bed that morning and she wouldn't leave her room. I had to give her breakfast in her room.
